The Coginchaug Valley Education Foundation was founded in March 2008 as an independent education foundation. The mission of CVEF is to promote excellence, innovation and creativity through education for the community and to encourage lifelong learning in Durham and Middlefield by awarding grants and supporting programs.

Meet Our 2024 Grantees

CVEF awarded 14 grants in 2024 to individuals, schools and community organizations, tying our all-time record for grants. Since 2009, we have funded 164 grants that have included 32 grants to our libraries, 52 to local schools, 7 scout projects, 9 to DMYFS and many others. Click here to read all about them.

Kim Terrill Honored with Howard Kelley Community Service Award

Durham Fair President Kim Terrill is the recipient of the 2024 Howard Kelley Community Service Award. The announcement was made at a CVEF reception for Terrill and also for our 2024 grantees.
